Crossing Borders

It was so cool to realize that I ate my 4 meals of August 4, each in a different country while crossing borders from Germany to Italy.

Midnight Snack in Germany: ~12:30am at JR Rockers
Breakfast in France: ~ 9:00am at L' Arche
Lunch in Switzerland: ~1:30pm at My Stop
Dinner in Italy: ~6:30pm at Burger King

We ate at 2 fast food chains and 2 quick-stops. Nothing fancy. Just satisfying enough to fill our gastronomic needs at intervals capable of sustaining us throughout the trip.
Clockwise: JR Rockers in Germany, L’ Arche in France, My Stop in Switzerland, Burger King in Italy

Simple meals turned indulging by the idea that unconsciously, we had each in a different territory. And let’s not forget those chances of saying “hello” and “thank you” in different languages… all in a single day.

  1. Good Morning Lea! Yes, it is a wonderful way to start out the morning...with the WORD of God! He is worthy of our praise and devotion!

  2. This seems so strange to me because we have to drive many miles to get to another state much less another country! I remember one time when vacationing in southeast Texas, we ran into some people who lived in the Panhandle (northwest Texas)...they had a favorite saying to express how big Texas is: "The sun has riz, the sun has set, and here we is, in Texas yet"!

  12. Haha! It would be like me eating breakfast in Alabama, lunch in Tennessee, a late afternoon snack in Virginia, and dinner in Maryland. Which is how it usually works when we travel from home to visit my folks! And like yours -- usually at least two of those stops are fast-food related! Thanks for all your sweet comments on my projects! :)
